ooh? when i googled it said there is a BCM by the fusepanel
i dunno

its like when i thought it was O2 sensor..
i told them is a 5.2 2000 dodge ram 1500.. i said i wanted the up and downstream

they told me this truck has 4 o2 sensors.. told them no.. just 2 thats carquest... yet my local parts store said it has only 2..
so confusing lol.. i dropped the tranny twice so i know only has 2

but didnt know it doesnt have a BCM. least i wont need to go looking for it.. lol its too confusing sometimes.. and now its pouring rain and tommorow its going to snow so this is going to be fun.. sooo need a heated tent lol

Ah, they may be referring to the CTM (central timer module) as the "BCM".... It has very little to do with how the engine runs.

If the dash lights go dim when you hit the brake you may want to see what's causing it. What condition is the battery in? Have it load tested! If it's ok disconnect the connector on the brake light switch and see if that changes anything.

ah ok ill try to test thoses today..

when i do press on the brake i dont press it far just enough that it engages the light... ad thats when it kills the engine... has to be a short.. i just frustrated as its hard to diagnose... and if i could afford id get a new used cab from the USA mines rotting outt since we use too much salt up here truck only has 142k/km on it.. so still healthy just rotts like there is no tommorow lol

but ill try and look ad not sure what a central timer module is but at this point tried everything... gotta try to follow all the wires i guess... worse comes to worse i hae spare truck i take the entire wire harnesss off it and shove in truck to try

oh ic too many names no real standard lol

i got my truck in the garage had to push it with a tractor.. if i get it running in Neutral when i shoved it in Reverse the Odometer would go dark then back to bright but would stall the engine.. so not just the brake kills the engine..

wish ODB readers could trace wire breaks shorts etc... like Star trek... computer is detecting a break in wire sch and such location etc.

be sooo much simiplier lol
star trek cant come soon enough lol

Newer vehicles can. Invest in a power probe it can do that. I am going to with HeyYou and say it's electrical. I would get the FSM for your truck from the FAQ section and start looking at the diagrams for the odometer and see what all ties into it. That's after you check all the grounds. There are 4 "cluster" of grounds. Two on the driver's side fender and two on the driver's side of the dash

well i need the newer vehicle computer so tells me wire 52 is broken and its this one run a new wire lol

but ya ill slowly checking things now wish th body was in better shape.. inspecting things shes rotting good.. but the frame still solid so thats all that matters lol

No a power probe can prove 12V and ground to circuits and can power them and you use a device (looks like a stud finder) and it will ding when it senses the wire is broken. It's pricey. If you don't want to do that look for connectors on that circuit (FSM will show you).

For example let's say we are diagnosing no turn signals. I would start at the turn signal sockets and work my way back.
