multiple misfires and injector codes
Was Driving about 40 mph and boom, out of nowhere engine started bucking, Limped it home about 4 miles while CEL was flashing, 191,000 miles on engine. Was deja vu like my prior truck, a 99 with 230,000 miles where a valve spring had broke. I told the shop I thought I broke a valve spring. They had multiple misfire and injector codes and came to the conclusion I needed a new PCM. No injector pulse from PCM for 3 cylinders.. Put new PCM in today and still had misfire on #7. Turns out the #7 has a broken valve spring, which they are going to do for free??? My question is, what are the odds a broken valve spring and the PCM would malfunction at the same microsecond in time?
Any thoughts appreciated, thanks.

This will get me back on the road for the short term, but will be wondering when the next valve spring is going to break. Can you recommend a source for a reman engine? I've replaced or had fixed just about everything else so far. Maybe it's time to throw in the towel. Thanks.
Jasper is actually halfway decent..... and their warranty support is good too. (used to deal with them on a regular basis, when I did that kind of thing for a living.) Your local parts store can likely get you one as well, and if you have issues, you have the advantage of being able to go in, and talk to a real human being, in person.... not some anonymous voice on the phone.
Put new valve spring on #7, then put original PCM back and my truck runs good again. Logic tells me I should have all the springs replaced because I might not be so lucky next time. Compression is still adequate. Is it worth just replacing all the springs.
If the rest of the engine is in good shape I would say it's worth it. I would do a compression test (sounds like you already did) and a leak down test.
