Default 01 ram 2500 4x4 46re transmission

Hi, I have a 01 ram 5.9l magnum 2500 4x4 with the 46RE transmission it's one hell of a tough truck. Its been my daily for 8years an been through hell and back then some lol.. with 240k+ mi. On it now. Bout a year ago the reverse all the sudden went out, so I done some research ended up adjusting the bands, changed fluid and filter. (Fluid and filter had never been changed that I know of) And problem fixed! Up until just the other day reverse all sudden went out again. So I went to adjust the bands again and for some reason the adjustment screw for the rear band won't torque down it just keeps threading in. What could the problem be the band broke or servo piston stuck or what? (Also the fluid from the recent fluid change was brown dirty looking but didn't seem to smell burnt) Thanks in advance for any thoughts! I sure need some advice 👍

Band strut, or anchor may have fallen out, the band might have broken, or something else in the system gave up. Gonna have to drop the pan and see what you find.
