Default 2002 Ram 2500 V10 good deal?

Never owned a V10 and a guy is selling a 2002 Ram 2500 V10 6spd swap with original 5 spd for $700 just needs a new bed (at least he says). My questions are these engines reliable? In know some parts are hard to find. How does that play out? Any known issues with them (like the Plenum with the V8s)

Thanks GuysAustin

When is was actively searching for trucks, I would find V-10's with north of 250K miles on a regular basis. They still ran/drove good, with the original engine/trans.... and had no major work done on them. One of the reasons I was looking for one.

If it starts/runs/moves down the road under it's own power, 700 bucks is a steal. You could part it out for more than that. (by a good margin....)

The 02 should have rear disk brakes as well.

If the cab/frame is in decent shape, and it doesn't have a million miles on it, I would be REAL interested in that.

How’s it going. I need a little help. 99 Ram v10 100,00 miles.
Has knock at first start up. Goes away after oil pressure builds. Knocks again when engine is under load. After reached goes away. Runs smooth no noise. But knocks again when the throttle is let off a little and engine floats between power up and power down.
Has anew oil pump.
