(and my buddy sold his brake lathe....... I may end up buying one........ maybe do a side business. ) I used antiseize on the adjusters. Lubes them up, keeps them free, but, is thick enough, that they don't turn when the wind blows from the right direction.
I think you may be right that the adjusters are winding them to tight. As today in the snow you BARELY and I honestly mean barely hit the brakes and the rear wheels lock up. Now I am 80% sure I have air in the lines because when I did the restoration I put new lines on it and the ABS was acting weird. So I think I pushed the air out of the module.

Any idea on the parking brake issue?

Also today with 4wd engaged I got a shake and a whistling sound. You think it could be the bar u joint that I posted about with to much side to side play?

Whistling? That, I would have to hear......

Grab a spare body, and bleed your brakes out good, maybe the fronts just aren't getting good pressure?

I believe the fronts are, but I planned on bleeding them anymore. Right after I beat up mother nature

Updating the thread. Parking brake don't work at all anymore and won't know anything until I get the rest brakes off. I'm afraid I may have stretched the cables

New cables will stretch a bit, Old cables can stretch a LOT, depending on condition..... If it's just a little, should be able to readjust the cables, and call it a day.

I have the adjuster almost maxed and it isn't working. I think I may have gotten the wrong self adjusters. Will try to adjust them manually and see if it helps. I doubt it though because my brakes are perfect just funky ABS

So lost brakes and seen fluid coming from the drivers side drum. Was putting off looking at the emergency brake until summer or my garage is done. Kind of hard to open it up :b and I THINK I found my problem. I put both big shoes on the driver's side lol. Didn't get it back together as it started down pouring

Yeah just the one wheel cylinder and the shoes because when they get a grease on them I don't bother cleaning them. Lifetime warranty on brakes at AutoZone. I'm afraid though I might have stretched the parking brake cables

If the other one is of the same vintage as the one that failed, just bite the bullet, and replace it. Otherwise, you just KNOW next week you will be seeing fluid dripping out of the other one.
