Default 98 3500 V10 gasser dually

So looking at picking up a v10 3500 dually. Has 186k miles. In ok shape for its age. Never need a gas dually before. Wondering what the value of these things are like. I know it’s not like a diesel but curious.

Looks in decent shape at least. Think I would replace the headlights.... (get a pair for around 100 bucks off of 1-a auto.) 186K for the V-10 really isn't that bad. When I was shopping, I regularly saw them pushing 300K....... They aren't common, and the suck gas like no tomorrow...... so, keep that in mind. I think I average around 10 or 11 MPG in mine, and that is unloaded. Of course, it'll pull anything you put behind it, and I have not experienced a smoother running engine. I love mine... but, gas is still relatively cheap.

what did you pay for yours if you don’t mind me asking. This seller is asking $2500 for it. Has a misfire p0351 code. Other than that just common dodge stuff

I paid 3300 for mine, almost 4 years ago, when gas was around 3 bucks a gallon, or more...... (around 132K when I bought it.) and nobody wanted a gas hog.

That code is for Ignition coil "A"..... which is kinda misleading on the 8.0. There are two coil 'packs', one of 'em does four cylinders, the other ones does the other six. See how the engine runs, and how many cylinders it is actually missing on..... May wanna look up prices for the coil packs as well, and see if you can even still get them....... Use that as a negotiating point in the price.

I didn’t figure the nostalgia made it a valuable thing. But a 2500 v10 is not a bad buy in my book.

Small town in PA I picked up a 24V in July for $800 and gasser swapped it. I wanted to swap a V10 but can't find them cheap
