Default 95 Ram 1500 Manual To Auto Conversion

Hello all, I recently purchased a 95 ram 4x4 with the 318 and the NV3500. The transmission went out a few months back so I planned on rebuilding it. However due to current circumstances I have decided to ditch the 5 speed and replace it with the 46RH from a same year truck. I am wondering what all needs to be done to my truck in order to get the transmission working. What parts are compatible and which ones are not. I would be okay with not having the functioning overdrive if it proves to be a lot of work to get it going, but if its somewhat simple I would like to have that extra fuel efficiency.

Need a PCM, and wiring harness, from a truck with the same engine, and auto trans. Some way to shift the trans, and also the O/D off button, and associated wiring. Should be a fairly simple swap, (as these things go) as the trucks actually came in that configuration.

Okay so after looking around I found that the PCM has at least 6 pins that control the trans. I also see that the 46RH has two connectors on it, and I'm pretty sure that one is the neutral safety switch and the other is the overdrive solenoid. What needs to be wired where? And sorry if it's a simple answer, I'm a little new to this whole trans swap thing

The RH trans should only have a three pin connector for trans control, all the rest is hydraulic. Only thing the PCM does is TCC, and O/D.

Yours is for a stick so it will not control the trans. You need to get a pcm for a OBD1 318 with a auto. Or you could get the kit that PATC sells to control the lock up and OD.

Why would you want to do that? The 5 speed is a far better transmission.

The truck is going to be my daily in and out of town, I'll be taking it to school everyday and the truck being an auto will make that situation easier to deal with.

Why do you say that? I have always found a manual transmission to be better in those situations.
