Default 99 Ram 1500 5.2l broken and lost wire

99 ram 1500 5.2L so I pull the trans to get rebuilt about to reinstall it and noticed this wire, I have no cue where it originally went searched for broken wires in the rest of the harnesses and for any plug ends that it may have been ripped out of but I’m stumped was wondering if anyone in this community may hav a clue what as to where it was supposed to go?

No idea. I don't have that wire/plug. Follow the connector to the fuse box.

Over on the right side the crank sensor is poking through the bell housing flange. Are there wires connected to the top of it? The top isn't visible in the photo.

That's where I'd look, too. I've never seen the crank sensor from that perspective, but I seem to remember the wires going around the back of the intake like that. It's been a while since I've had to fiddle with the crank sensor, though...so I may be wrong about that.

How many, and what color wires in that harness?
