Default P0171 (System too lean)

Could low fuel pressure (33PSI) cause this? Prior to replacing the pump I was running rich. She also has a hollowed out catalytic converter. (Haven’t had the chance to take her into the muffler shop.) Thank you. (5.9 Magnum 360 V8)

33 Is to low, You should have 49 psi. Is this with the new pump?

It was a “new old stock” OEM pump. BUT it was for a 1500, not 2500.

They both use the same pump. Might be a difference in gas tanks.... but still, 33 ain't right.

Yes, I figured. I’m just waiting for this gas tank to deplete so I can drop it, and put my Delphi one back. Only reason I got this one was because I liked the design. Extra filtration vs. the Delphi that had a sock.

It's a law that fuel pumps only crap out when the tank is above 3/4.

There is another filter under the "sock".
