Default Suncoast Creations Ram Air Hood

I know its a long shot, but I purchased a used Suncoast Creations Ram Air Hood for my 2000 Ram. It did not come with the Ram Air box that connects to the throttle body.

Was hoping someone might have one they could send me pictures of, or dimensions of so I can attempt to duplicate it.

Reached out to sun coast which of course stated it was discontinued and they couldn't help with it.

Here is a picture I found of it on their website though.

Thanks!

Thomas

Sorry cannot help with the info you seek however I have thought a bit about doing something like this myself. Perhaps something like the #14HS and some sealing foam could be made to work....https://www.ramairbox.com/models.html

Thank you for that reply. That very well may be the direction I head to find a solution.

You bet. If you do it, please come back in here and tell us about it. That sounds wicked.

I definitely will. I am not all too active on the forums but I lurked for years stopping in from time to time to see assistance rectifying problems that evaded my best efforts.

Currently trying to wrap up a 408 project that all started as a misfire code on my 360 last January. How a project seems to snowball.

The 2nd gen Ram has always been my favorite. My first truck (2003) was a 98 Ram (still own it) and when you're 16 I dreamed of all the stuff that was out there I wanted to do to it, but couldn't afford it.

Now I have the money, but time seems to what's in short supply now. Plus the parts aren't readily available as they once were.

I have managed to put together some nice parts for what I hope to be a solid performing motor.

Once this one concludes and after knocking out a few home projects, I will roll into the 98' which will get the Ram Air hood. I am hoping to do a complete restoration on it, and will have to set aside a few years to get it done properly I imagine. Its the truck I drove to my first day of work and hopefully I will be able to drive it in my last day! I have 11 years, clocks a ticking!

How does the bottom of the hood look? I imagine there is an opening in the middle where the base meets up with it. You are going to have to get measurements from a homemade base to the bottom of the hood then fab something up. Here is my ram air hood, At the time you could buy an optional base to go on throttle body. I think they still sell the hood but they don't list the optional base anymore to make functional.

Is that an AAR hood? I seen a truck locally about 7-8 years ago that had that hood and also had the ram air box. It was a nice truck and very slick set up. I like that hood a lot.

Mine has a rectangle recess, that after looking at it should be relatively straightforward to adapt/fabricate something to seal off to. Might take some creativity and trial and error but possibly nonetheless.

I wonder how much the cops would mess with me if I put one of these on my hood. Way cooler than a snorkel if you asked me.https://www.eharwood.com/catalog/pro...er-scoop-3156/

Yeah, I really like that style of hood..... Would be hard to adapt it to my V-10 though.
