If there is play in your axle bearing, it's bad, and needs replaced. If you do it yourself, be sure an soak it in lube before installation... and make sure to top off the rear diff as well.
so this bearing that’s in now is the same one that came out. You think I may need a “repair bearing”? Seems like the axle may be worn enough in that spot. Idfk hah just don’t want to put another new bearing in and have the same result. Crazy how small the diameter of the axle is and how large the diameter of the bearing inner is.

Is the axle worn where the bearing rides? Or is the bearing sloppy in the axle tube?

didn’t seem to be worn. I didn’t really check the race. Was smooth. It hammered in tight. The axle had a bit of putting. Not bad tho. I can’t really remember.
