Default 1996 Ram 2500 2WD Spindle

Hey guys,

So I recently bought a new 1996 Ram 2500 2WD with the Cummims.

My friend was driving it and long story short blew the drivers side outer wheel bearing.

When I went to try and hammer the melted bearing off, I screwed the threads for the spindle nut, so I need to get a new spindle assembly.

A guy a few hours from me messaged me and says he has a 2WD parts truck and he'll sell me the drivers side spindle assembly for 50 bucks, but his truck is either a 94 or 95. The thing is his truck is a 3500 and mine is a 2500.

That being said, will his 3500 2WD spindle bolt up to the control arms and such for my 2500?

Are they the same spindle assembly?

Thanks guys!

I can't even come up with a friggin' part number for them........ Might have to take yours, and compare it to the other one. Or, see if you can chat with the dodge parts department, and compare part numbers. They *should* be the same......

From what I can tell from the parts manual the 2500 and 2500 independent front suspension knuckles are the same. However some 3500s had a "dead" solid front axle so that obviously wouldn't work. The parts (52037683/52037682) aren't available anymore from Chrysler btw.
