Okay running into a setback... I cannot find a salvage transmission. So here's my new issue... I have the transmission out, I found a transmission shop in town that will rebuild it for $1,000. IF HE DOESN'T FIND ANYTHING"CRAZY" inside the transmission... SO HERE'S MY QUESTION IF HE REBUILDS THAT TRANSMISSION OUT OF THE TRUCK HOW'S HE GOING TO ADJUST THE BANDS AND EVERYTHING AND CHECK THE PRESSURES ON ALL THE PORTS?

He will adjust the bands when it's out. Easier to do. Once its all together there are ports that allow him to apply pressure to see the plates move. If there are problems after its in the truck then you start to pressure test then. I've put in rebuilt transmissions and have rebuilt 10+ on different brands of vehicles. I haven't had a problem yet with pressure or the vehicle moving. I've done some stupid things I had to re-fix though.

Okay, Great... I have made arrangements to get it to this man's shop. However I AM STILL going to find a transmission that'll fit and I AM DETERMINED to build a BRUTE for this application! I'm by no means through needing this forum or the expert/professional knowledge I have already received and WILL need in the near future, because, as soon as this Truck is on the road I am expanding my search for a salvage tranny to a 200 mile radius if necessary.

I in fact found a transmission in Canton Tx. (Carparts.com) about 45 miles away, for $500.00 (IF) it's still there... Waiting on a reply now. ... HOWEVER... THE MILEAGE IS ADVERTISED AS333, 000 MILES...That seems like a LOT of miles, even for a temporary hook-up while I Rebuild... Is that a Correct assumption you think.?
