Can you put something between the ends of the axles, and use them to push the side gears outward a bit more? Might allow the spiders to engage lower on the gears, and give you enough clearance to get them, and their bearings... back in place.

yeah I tried a socket. But then the whole carrier and axle gears spin as one lol
So, stick something in the ring gear to prevent it from turning. Either that, or set one of the tires on the ground, and turn the other tire to get the gears to walk back into place.

We havin' fun yet?
no doubt. Hah yeah it’ll be nicer looking back on it and having a better knowledge of differentials hahah right now tho no. Not having fun. But can’t tell you how much I appreciate your help. Thanks a million man. I got a buddy coming over tonight to help.
I've done this with a 9.25 LSD. WITH THE CARRIER OUT OF THE DIFF. Use 2 bolts with big enough washers to trap/compress the clutch pax on each side of the carrier. Then, the spiders will slide in easy peasy. Half hour job, max! Good luck.

figured it would come to that. If I leave it in with the axles pushed back just enough. Axle gear-big washer-nut-nut-big washer- axle gear all on all thread. That was my laying in bed thinking thought lol
figured compression is the only way.
thanks man
That's what I said in the beginning side gears need compressed
yeah figured so. I had people saying all sorts of stuff. Was figuring a way to compress them. Got some threaded rod. Was gonna rig it up and had an idea. The carrier pin is 16mmish. I grabbed a 17mm socket ****in pried the **** out the axles and slipped the socket in. Gave me all the room in the world. Gonna make a post it worked so great hah check this pic out
