Default 1998 Dodge Ram 3500 Oil Type

I've got a 1998 dodge ram 3500 straight 6, 5.9l turbo cummins. I'm about to service my new truck for the first time but not sure on the oil. I've got the manual for the truck which gives you 3 different oils. Whats everyone using? What's best?

I think the three choices it gives you are for different temp ranges, so, pick the one that's right for where you live, then go with a brand you like. Lotsa folks like the Rotella full synthetic.

You want 15W-40. Regular or synthetic, stay with one or the other. Most of the Cummins owners I know use Rotella.
