So there’s very little downward movement on my accelerator, was flooring it on the freeway and was topping out at 55, and was wondering what the problem was. The peddle is super floppy upward and only can be pushed down about an inch. Already looked at the throttle cable and there’s no slack or anything there. So I don’t really know what else to do.

 

Have someone else step on the pedal, while you watch the throttle butterflies, and see how far they are opening.

Really sounds like something with the pedal is broken. Have a good close look at it.
