Default 46re help not moving only have reverse

So I have 97 ram 1500 4x4 automatic 46re transmission that I just put in it. Before the swap I was having issues with my transmission shifting hard and I'd be driving then it would kick out of overdrive down to 3rd then back up. Did that for a few months I figured it was old had alot of miles and I hadn't exactly been nice to sense iv had it sense high school. One day I took it for a long drive on the freeway and was doing OK then it slammed down to like 2nd and wouldn't go back up I over heated it let it sit for a couple hours then headed for home and over heated it again and at a stoplight lost everything but reverse. Towed it home bought a new transmission swapped the sensors over put fluid in it and then drove it close around the house then went to work about 12 miles away....around 10 miles it kicked out of overdrive at like 60 then I was in 3rd at like 3k rpms until I limped it to stop while it seemed to down shift just fine. I didn't over heat it this time but when I went to move it like whined maybe grinded slightly but not hard so I let off went to park then drive and now it won't go into gear at all only reverse agian...idk what to do

Did you put in new electronic parts, or swap them from your old trans? Was the replacement trans used? New? Rebuilt? Any warranty on it?

I swapped all the sensors over from the old tranny....its completely new with a 3 yr warranty but idk if it's the transmission because it's the same problem as the old one. Just I didn't destroy this one by burning it up...the old I toasted

Think I would be putting new sensors/solenoids in to the trans...... As you have a similar problem as previously, and those are the common parts.

You only swapped the external sensors?? If that's the case, need to have a chat with the folks you got your trans from.
