Doggone it that's what I thought cuz I bought a flex fan off eBay it's backwards is for clockwise rotation I'll just stick with the five blades steel for now. Thank you so much man I know the question sounded silly but I just wanted to hear a professional say it. I thought so because of the way the blades was turned. Again thank you.

MY bad I thought you meant if you were taking it off I think it spins clockwise as it draws air through the radiator. I'll double check mine here in a few. I misunderstood

What was confusing me is the ANGLE of the blades... It would APPEAR that.. "STANDING IN FRONT OF THE TRUCK LOOKING AT THE TRUCK IT WOULD HAVE TO SPEND COUNTERCLOCKWISE TO BLOW AIR ON THE ENGINE"... Right? ... 🤔🤔🤯🤯

This is the one I rushed to buy for $22 a pretty good deal but it won't work anyway even if the angle of the blades was right I just rushed to judgment but it's okay. I'm also on the r468 transmission rebuild thread and I'm just trying to keep the tranny as cool as I can get it.

The fan isn't there to blow air on the engine, it's there to pull air through the radiator. USUALLY they spin the opposite way they come off. So I believe it spins clockwise. Give me about an hour and I can verify it

Okay okay I understand that makes a little sense too cuz the engines obviously going to get plenty of air so still even so if the blades were correct on that one that I purchased the whole mounting application is different I was going to do away with the fan clutch and just let the fan turn the same RPM as the motor because as far as fuel efficiency I'm not really going anywhere except putting around town maybe to the lake a few times this summer. I really don't want to put a bunch of adapter kits that could become out of balance that's something I never took it to consideration. I'm an old school Chevrolet Hot rodder so all this new wave stuff overdrives and fan clutches things like that or not new to me but just never have messed with him much as far as performance improvements.

The flex fan isn't going to do anything good for you..... I have seen far too many of them blow apart, and take out radiators, shrouds, and various other things under the hood. That finned feller on your fan is a thermal clutch, the fan is only taking power when the air blowing past it is hot enough. So, going to the flex fan isn't going to give you any better MPGs either. Return it, spend the money on something else that will actually help.
