Default 46RE Help

(delete this if not allowed - I made this post in response to another transmission post and it still has yet to show)

2001 Ram 2500 5.9 gas 4x4 - 46RE. Transmission **** the bed. Drove 5.5 hours away to get a rebuilt one from a guy that supposedly knows everything about Chrysler/46RE's. Made sure to get a 2000-2001 so the sensors/connections matched. Got the tranny home and saw that the back of my block has a hole at the 12-oclock position and the transmission does not. Now I'm afraid that this is the complete wrong transmission that I own. So I start doing some searching and came across an old thread here with the following info regarding the transmission number that is stamped right above the pan:

2000-2002
5.2L & 5.9L 46RE
1500 MODELS
52119844
52119846
2500 & 3500 MODELS
5014772AA
5014770
52119844
5014772

I look at the tranny that I bought and it has 52119846 stamped in the side of it. I call multiple shops and they all say that the 2000-2001 46RE's are all interchangeable between the 360's. Is this correct? Or am I going to put a half ton tranny in my 3/4 ton and create a ticking time bomb?

46RE with no hole in the bolt pattern at 12-oclock

Back of the block with a bolt hole at 12-oclock

Yeah, the gas V-8's used the same trans, regardless of the weight rating of the truck it was put in.
