Default Identify rear end.

I have an 04 dodge ram 1500 5.7l ST. How do I find out the rear end. Try to purchase a new rear but all I see is 3.92 ,3.55 idk whichever one i have.

You really wanna be in the Third Gen Section. However, to answer your question: There might be a tag on the rear differential itself, listing gear ratio, or, there might be a tag under the hood with the same information. (not sure where that one would be though.) You can get a build sheet for your truck from here. That will tell you what the truck came with from the factory. Or, worst case, pull the cover off the rear diff, and the ratio will either be etched into the ring gear somewhere, or, just count the teeth, and do the math.
