Default Overhead console OBDII

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows whet two pins on the OBDII plug will send data to the overhead console. I added the console years ago and plugged the two wires from the display into the OBD data port. I got the info from a forum but not sure which. Anyway the wired got pulled and its been so long I cant remember which two to plug them in. I've tried a few combinations but no success. If anyone has this figured out I would appreciate the info. Thanks!

If you don't have one already, get the service manual for your truck from here. Wiring diagrams are in section 8W. You want the two wires that represent the CCD bus. (basically, the network the PCM and all the other modules communicate on.)

Thank you but that doesn't6 quite do it. Probably if the truck came with the overhead but it didn't as I added it. It says (from what I can gather) that the console connects to engine control module CCD+ & CCD-. I am assuming these can be found on the OBD plug?

Yep. Any scan tool you plug in to the diagnostic port also communicates on those two wires. It's essentially a mini network in your truck.

The CCD bus devices connect in a "joint connector" somewhere near the instrument panel. The OBD port connects there as well.

Not any scan tool, only shop level tools can communicate on the CCD bus. On the 2nd gens the mandated OBDII functionality runs on the SCI bus which is what the common parts store and Amazon scanners use.
