They should all be within about 20% of each other, and over 100 PSI. Higher is better, naturally.

You want even, not any particular pressure. If you have one really low, you have an issue. If they range from 110 to 120, fine. If one is 65, you have a problem.

NEW BOSCH COMPRESSION GUAGE...DRY TESTS..5 STROKES EA. ON THE 160 & 170's... RETESTED THE LOWS AGAIN WITH 10 STROKES. THIS IS FINAL RESULT. WILL THIS CAUSE A OVERDRIVE SHAKE THAT'LL SHAKE THE SCREWS OUTTA THE DASH @ 55 MPH OR LOWER??? GONNA PUT PLUGS BACK IN AND INSTALL MY COMPOSITION WIRE SET BEFORE A WET TEST (JUSTA SEE) .

That 130 and 140 is an issue. See if they improve with what wet test

On a wet test, should it be at operating temperature. I did the dry test on a cold block.

Technically, you are supposed to do both tests on a fully warmed engine..... to get the most accurate results. Trouble is, working on a hot motor is not without peril. So, I generally just run the tests on a 'warm' or even cold engine. (not fully up to operating temp....)

Well I got it back together with the new plug wires I bought a set of them Dragonfire wires so I managed to get them changed out only thing is the plastic on my throttle cable was brittle and it broke so I'm going to have to temporarily Jerry rig that thing to take it for a test drive to see if it's still shakes. That'll take me about another half hour and we'll find out if all that stuff helped. I also bought a new coil.

The MISS is barely detectable at idle, and that is idling with the foot off of the brake. Idling with a brake on smooth as silk. Overdrive still shakes the dash loose even at 50 and 55 mph. The least bit of throttle, it quits. At 60 it starts going away and at 70 and above runs like a sewing machine. I'm taking it back to the transmission shop next week.

Do a leakdown test on 1 and 5. (I think, your two low cylinders) See where pressure is going. Cracked valve seats can cause what you are experiencing.

Would a cracked valve seat be on the head or valve? How bout the GUIDE? Also, would that really cause a glitch so intense to create a OD shake so intense? Otherwise, that sucker will go from 0 to 80mph in just seconds. A total sleeper, I was shocked.
