P0132 - After new 02's installed
I have a 99 Ram 1500 with the 5.2. We gutted the cat and have now reinstalled a new cat and muffler. Put in 2 brand new O2 sensors and now I'm getting a P0132 code. Before with the cat gutted and stock O2 sensors there was no codes. And now with the new sensors it throws the code. Drivability is fine, no bogging no hesitation. Suggestions or ideas?

P0132 is O2 sensor circuit high voltage for bank 1 sensor 1. It's triggered when the O2 sensor reads high (rich) for too long. That can be anything from wiring to a defective sensor. If you have a OBD2 reader with live data look at the sensor voltage and see if it changes or if it's pegged all the time. If you still have the old sensor you could put that in for comparison.

Thought there was some kind of standard for trouble codes..... No huh?
NGK is OEM and recommended. If it's reading too rich, it probably is. How's your plenum gasket? Is the engine dumping oil or extra fuel in the exhaust? I would lean (no pun intended) towards it being accurate and looking at the engine/fuel/compression.

so after all this I gp put and check the wiring, turns out they gave me a downstream and not the upstream ngk. Off to the parts store to return and install the correct one.
That's what I get for just going by the first result I find.
