Transmission is hydraulic on the 95 and electronic on the 97. Use the trans from 97. The 95 motor has an egr set up on it where the 97 doesn't. The stock pcm is for the 5.9 it will run the 5.2 but it will be giving the 5.2 to much fuel so you need a 5.2 pcm. Some of the sensor plugs may be different on the 95 so use the ones on the 97.

If you are using the 97 harness, everything should pretty much fall into place, and hook up just like it did on the 5.9. Only difference is going to be, the 97 didn't have EGR, whereas the 95 likely did. One problem that IS going to bite you in the keester though, is the trans. The 97 used a 46RE transmission, electronically controlled, the Jeep likely used a 46RH (or possibly 44RH) trans, which was hydraulically controlled. That's gonna confuse your 97 PCM, and you won't have overdrive, or torque converter lockup. Can't swap computers either, as the 95 is OBDI, and the 97 is OBDII. Far too many differences to make it work.
