2001 Dodge Ram v10 alternator
Hi I am looking for suggestions for a high output alternator for my 01 v10. Also I am thinking of adding a engine block Coolant heater. I live in a cold winter climate and think this could be beneficial. The 1500 watt heater I was looking at getting says it should be hooked up to the motor in a cross setup. I’m not sure where to install it correctly for best results. Any suggestions would be helpful.
I have a Stereo system installed that demands a lot of power. I have installed 3-0 wire and a extra deep cycle battery.

What is the stock alternator rate at? Were there any higher output options?
Your voltage regulator is currently part of the PCM, so, going to a 'one wire' alternator really isn't an option. (unless you like staring at the check engine light....) Are you having charging system problems as it sits???
What type of block heater are you looking at? Does it have it's own pump?
