Default 2nd gen Backspacing

I am looking to get new wheels and tires for my truck. I am looking at 33s which I am running right now. My question is with the backspacing of the rims. The rims i am looking at have 4.25 inches. How far with that hang out? They are 17x9 rims. Pictures help a ton. Thanks

What is the year, make and model of your 2nd gen truck? Also, does the rear have drum or disc brakes?

It's a 2000 1500 but I swapped in a 3rd gen rear dif with disc brakes. It's the same width tho as my old one

Thanks. That information should help others that may chime in. I have a '96 2500, so my experience may not be relevant to your 1500, since I'm running 8 lug wheels and the truck sits higher.

What is the backspacing and size of your existing wheels, since you're already running 33" tires?

What tires do you have on there? Those look tasty.

Milestar Patagonia MT. Great price for the tires you get. Will have to see what the tread life is like but for the price I can't argue. Took a lot of weights to balance though. I've seen people get 42k out of these on a 3rd gen heavy duty.

A set of tires would likely outlast my truck then. I only drive about 5000 miles a year.
