Default Steering box and shaft question

Hey everyone.
wondering if they're any posts on here that can give me some info on how to adjust these steering gear boxes. I have a somewhat newer reman , I am aware that there not the greatest and that these dodges have terrible steerings to begin with. Just looking for minor improvements wherever I can. I already have dual steering stabilizers shocks and a ram rock solid bushing for in the steering column. Will these high end steering shafts help with anything? I know guys are going to mention getting a red head steering box but it's not ideal for me as I'm in Canada and the exchange and shipping will be close to 1000 dollars at this point. I do have 33 inch tires so I feel that isn't helping me either, just looking for any other tips or advice , thanks !

Should be a Allen head bolt with jam nut on top of steering box, loosen jam nut and adjust

that’s all I’ve got unless you got a bad trac bar too which I’ve changed quite a few working at my shop

I'm running 33" tall tires and made the following upgrades to the front suspension:

- Borgeson steering gearbox
- Borgeson intermediate steering shaft
- Solid Steel adjustable 3rd gen style track bar (eliminates the 2nd gen ball joint end of the track bar that's prone to failure)
- Solid Steel 3rd gen style track bar mount
- Rancho 7000 series front shocks

With these upgrades, in addition to previously completely rebuilding the front end of the truck to eliminate a "death wobble" problem, the truck handles quite well, with just a slight bit of steering wander.

And make sure alignment is true….it can feel loose when your “chasing the tires” with alignment off

Even with a red head they don't have new gears in them so if it's worn you still will have slop. When you adjust it make sure it's not in the center that's where they wear. If you adjust it so it's tight in the center it will bind when full left or right.

Clearances are tighter over center, supposedly to reduce tendency to wander.... At least, that has been my understanding. If you adjust it off center, there is a good chance to make it TOO tight, and the truck will want to go anywhere BUT straight. (I have experienced this, it ain't no fun.)

There is a procedure in the service manual for adjusting the steering box. Follow that, and it will be as good as it's gonna get.

Don't worry about not getting redhead. Not worth it in my experience.

Not our box but he shows how the sector shaft adjusts:

I have the Borgeson and it’s terrible. It was nice when new, but it hasn’t lasted 60k. Check this out…

Which made the biggest difference??

I never had death wobble in my truck, Track bar I did a few years ago and this truck isn't a daily driver. I did bilstein shocks a few months ago.
