Default 5.2 L motor swap

A friend of mine did a motor swap both 5.2l and now she has a no bus code. Ive done some test but in not 100% confident in my results, keep in mind I didnt not help with the swap at all so I dont kno what they have done, I just have to get it running for her. Yay!! Anybody have any ideas.

Are the sensors from the original motor? Or the replacement? Did they destroy the crank sensor when swapping motors?

Generally, no bus means something on the 5 volt circuit (most of your sensors) is borked, and taking it down.

Does it matter if she didnt take the pcm with the mew motor and idk about the crank sensor that was my next step. The thing is she doesn't have money to keep dumping into it so I didnt want her to buy sensors and it still not run. Hopefully its as easy to change as my Durango.

If the motors are the same displacement, then the PCM should be just fine.

Pull the crank sensor, see what it looks like. I know on mine, it was a major pain.... but, I have health issues that complicate the matter.

If the truck had a 5.2 and the replacement was the same it will be fine. If it was changed with a different cid motor that wouldn't cause a no buss. That's a communication issue with the pcm, If the motor harness was not removed from the pcm during the swap it's possible it could have gotten yanked. Check out all the plugs and wires going to the pcm.
