I just got a 99 Trans (46re) I don't know if it will work for my truck. I also bought a 97 Trans out of a sport and it was completely different so I'm stumped.

 

There should be that many differences. The major difference being if its 2 or 4 wheel drive. The electronics changed for 2000, but, you can just install the correct electronics for the year of the truck, and you are all set. Keep in mind, the retainer for the governor stuff changed as well.
