Default CEL After High RPM due to not shifting correctly

Hey Everyone,
So yesterday I left work and my 46re wouldn't shift accordingly "been an issue for a while" and I ran her up to around 4500 before letting off and forcing a shift. Once the shift occurred the CEL came on. I knew that it was going to be a misfire on a cylinder. Well it happened to be on almost every cylinder along with multiple miss fire messages. My question is has anyone else ever experienced something like this before? Is this due to the Distributor not being able to provide enough spark at this RPM...I just recently read a thread by a poster about how to adjust the TV cable. I am going to perform that action when I get today to see if that helps with the shifting issue. But I would like to know why when the engine is rev'd up that high it throws mis fire messages.

On my 96, the crank sensor was doing that. It was fine at lower RPM, but, start going above 3500 or so, and it would start misfiring, and the CEL was flashing.

What brand sensor did you install? If it wasn't a genuine mopar sensor, that may be at least part of the problem.
