No 1st gear

You can try removing the 8 pin connector, then test drive the truck to see if you can manually shift the gears, 1st, then 2nd, then 3rd. I would think a broken wire at the 8 pin connector would cause some sort of shifting issue. Also, check the level of your transmission fluid in neutral. It takes ATF+4 fluid. Low fluid will certainly cause a no shift/sluggish shift issue.

So the weird part is with the broken connector it only has 2nd and 3rd gears and when I try to turn over drive off nothing happens. This is also the same when I completely disconnect the connector. Also is it still automatically shifts in D with the connector unplugged. The other weird part is the other day I randomly tried to put it into first manually and it just worked smoothly no clunking did it every time then when I shut the car off and turned it back on it wouldn’t do it again manually
