Default 5.9 harmonic balancers
Is there any compelling reason I should hang onto the old 2-piece balancer from a '98? I already replaced with a new one-piece from RA but just wanna be sure before I toss it in scrap bin. I see this one gets a weird rigid plastic "seal" but isn't that what the front crank seal is for?

Curious, what is "RA"?

As for the balancer, unless you're going to send it away to have it rebuilt, it's basically a boat anchor and can be safely tossed.

RA = Rock Auto.

It will only work for a small boat though.
