Anybody know where you can get the white Styrofoam thing that the AC evaporator sits on?

Nope, it looks like it is part of the hvac box assembly if you look in the pic.

Does anyone know if it's needed?
Had to order new seals for the heater core pipes, ac evaporator pipes, and the AC drain for the firewall and then it will be ready to install!

I’d say yes, it’s needed… to help seal (avoid bypass air) and to stop chaffing of the core on the housing.

Get some door/window seal from a box store… put a strip on either side to achieve the same seal/contact patch.

My core came with a pad already adhered to the top.

I seen aftermarket cores had weather stripping on 3 sides. Is that what you mean by pad?
