https://www.compcams.com/xtreme-ener...r-273-360.html Im thinking of going with this cam. The truck is going to be a show truck so im looking for a good idle sound as well as a little bit of power about 450hp out of the motor. Whats your thoughts on this cam?

Should work for your needs if you are meeting the recommended engine and converter stall mods. Just check to see if you can find it somewhere in stock. Seems that Comp is way behind in getting products out the door lately from what I've been hearing...

i got a lot to do to it still. Its my daily driver right now but putting the 360 in this month with it fuel injected then swapping it to carb in about a month or so and doing the heads and all that after its in. Sounds stupid i know but i need my daily so it has to be a step by step thing. Also 5 speed swapping and getting 22x14 wheels and 33inch mud tires. Got to get the paint touched up, headlights, tail lights. Im also replacing the entire steering components and suspension this month. Hopefully i can get it all done in the 4 months i have

Good luck. Hope Comp can get the order fulfilled in that advertised timeframe... Might want to check with other places, too (Hughes, Summit, Jegs, etc.)...

If you still have the stock heads on there, just replace them. Get some EQ Monster Magnums, they come with the bigger valves, and have thicker castings, so, less likely to crack around the valve seats.

Are they back to making those heads again? At one time not long ago, folks seemed to be having issues finding them.
