So im swapping my 360 over to a carb and is it true that all the old style 360 parts will go onto it and work properly after the carb swap

You will need some kind of ignition if you get rid of the pcm. You can see the differences between the LA/magnum here.

If you are keeping the magnum motor in the truck, you should plan to opt for a performance magnum hydraulic roller camshaft for it. Magnum motors send oil to the heads thru the lifters/pushrods. The old LA camshafts send oil to the heads thru passages in the block, which likely aren't there on the later cast magnum blocks/heads. To run a carb, you would only need to change the stock magnum intake manifold to a magnum style carb intake and add a regulator to the fuel line to lower the fuel pressure to 6 - 7 psi.

Not to mention you need ignition system. You can use any mopar electronic ignition and small block distributor or use it with a msd box.

Do the stock magnum 360s have a hydraulic roller or hydraulic flat tappet?
