I agree with @HeyYou . About half a year ago I swapped in a freshly remanned 47re from these guys, https://reman-transmission.com/trans...des/?code=47RE, and had a time with it after it was installed. Naturally, I thought it was a problem with the transmission and even called in to reman wanting a refund but after taking it to a different transmission shop they told me whoever installed it damaged my crank sensor. Not a bad fix but had a time trying to figure out what was wrong

not sure in what way its dying if it lurches and stalls I would suspect the torque converter is locked up or something similar inside the trans, as I say this I would a assume its and automatic but is it a manual by chance?
Next I'm with moparite, verify the year the trans is for, it seems like you cant stray more then a year or so away from your model year and have everything work correctly, have you tried giving the truck every so lightly on the throttle when shifting, I had a bad IAC and it would stall when shifting into gear, like I said LIGHTLY on the throttle, just enough that the pedal is controlling airflow not the IAC motor.
