Default Need help to buy radiator

1997 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9.
when I go to auto parts store the radiator that comes up doesn’t fit. Doesn’t even have the right inlet or outlet size. 2 places.
called dealer and they did discontinued.
they pulled the build sheet from vin.
said it was 52028057ag.
when I look this up it isn’t the right size for my truck
not sure how to find right radiator or how to tell single, double row or what.
had dealer them print me a sheet for my truck and said special order heady duty heat cooling system.
any part numbers or way to cross reference for this would be awesome!
thanks

neve had such an issue just trying to spend money and get a right part

Assuming this is a gas motor not diesel, All the radiators are the same from the 3.9 up to 5.9 Find another parts store or get one with a lifetime warranty at radiator.com

The radiator that you purchased should be the correct radiator. Might want to go ahead and get new upper and lower radiator hoses that will work with your new radiator and that should take care of your issue.

I can’t buy new hoses to match that radiator.
Then they match up to either the water pump or thermostat hosing.
i installed a new plenum form Hughes easier then this.

probably a simple answer and somehow I’m making it more difficult then it needs to be

You might be surprised. O'Reilly's should have the correct molded upper and lower radiator hoses that have 1-1/2" inlet and outlet sizes that will fit your truck's radiator and connect to the existing water pump and thermostat cover outlets.

Are you the original owner of the truck? Given its age, no telling who has worked on it and what was done to it over the years.
