Default Weird noise from rear

Noticed when driving hearing like an almost brake noise. Not so much a grinding. Hear it when driving, coasting, and braking. Almost sounds like when brake pads get low on life. Was wondering if the shoes could be just low on life and making contact with the drum even when not using the brakes. Doesn’t sound like a bearing is going bad. I’m open to suggestions. Currently at work and haven’t been able to take a look at the rear.

Wouldn't hurt to pull the drums, and see what's up.

If it doesn't change with the application of the brakes I would say brakes are unlikely....but indeed it's easy to pull the drums

The sound looks like it’s coming from both sides too. And I haven’t changed the drums since I got the truck and been over 50k miles

50,000 miles is a lot for brakes and you don't know how long they had been run before you got the truck. The brake shoes may be blistered.

I got the truck from my grandpa back in high school. But I ended up replacing the brake shoes, the springs, wheel cylinders, and the adjuster just to have all new brake shoes. But the problem was the backing plate has like a channel that goes all the way around. It rusted and was bent causing it to scrap against the drum. Just cleaned up the rust and cut where it was rubbing and now brakes like new again.

Having a similar problem that I need help with. Noticed chirping when I let off the gas at low speeds in second and third. It sounds like its coming from the rear of the truck. I don't hear it so much at high speeds but that could just be because of road noise. Chirps repetitively like a bird. Thanks for any help!
