I totally get that - it reminds me that in my list of reasons excuses bad excuses as to why I didn't address the issue sooner, I forgot to add a comment about my pace. When my wife asks me how long something will take, I usually respond with something like, "For a professional, probably 2 hours; for most amateurs, probably 6-8 hours; for me, at least a week."

I was going to suggest that maybe you and I could be like buddies who motivate each other to actually get up and go to the gym and then help each other when there by spotting for each other, by saying we could do that for vehicle projects. I could start by haranguing motivating you to start that timing set overhaul and then come get hands on to help. I've got a few projects on my truck and my wife's FJ Cruiser that are on the list, so you would be able to reciprocate.

But judging by the pics I saw in your thread about beefing up your Ram's leaf springs, it doesn't look like you are anywhere near North Alabama.

Yep. My time-scale is very similar. One of the reasons that I have been paying professionals of late..... Its worth it to me, NOT to have to struggle for hours, over something a fully equipped shop, complete with HEALTHY techs, can do in a tenth the time. I just don't need the stress/aggravation/frustration any more.

Now, if I had a teenager that wanted to come over and play, and learn, that would shed a whole new light on things.
