Default Left Turn signal

99 ram 1500 4x4. 5.2.
front left turn signal and tail lights stopped working. Emergency lights and brake lights, dash lights, head lights all work... The pointer arrow on dash was flashing fast at first and so I thought it was bulb... when I replaced bulb and relay, the arrow pointer returned to normal speed but turn signal still did not work..So far I have:
1). Replaced bulb
2) replaced relay
3) checked fuse
4) cleaned ground points under battery tray
5) cleaned up socket6) probed the wire leading to socket (no power)
7) cussed at the damn thing... LOL
any questions or answers would be greatly appreciated,.. THANKS for listening to me..

This never fixes anything. Might be the multi function switch, Check for power going in and coming out(to the bulbs) and see what you have.

Could that bad socket also throw off some other lights too I wonder...I just noticed tonight that the reverse lights do not work either...so I got front left turn signal, tail lights and parking lights and reverse lights out...I haven't probed the multi function switch yet, but will try that tomorrow... Thanks for the help.. might the multi function switch control all those??

Well, I bought a new multi function switch and that was not the problem... I can return it to Amazon. I'm a prime member with them...they approved the return already..so now what??? I'm going to the upull it lot tomorrow and grab a couple sockets as 95ram360 suggested and try that next,.I was there and got a few headlight switches a month ago and tried them all to no avail.. stuff there is old but cheap and OEM and I always grab several of each part I'm looking for... anymore ideas?? Thanks for sticking with me..

Might want to keep tracing the wire that has no power, but should have it. Sounds like there may be a grounding/shorting of that wire somewhere along its length. I had a similar issue of no taillights on a '72 Road Runner recently and found cut wires under the back seat.

I was hoping for a simple solution... I'm not that great at electrical problems or reading schematics....does anyone know where the left turn signal wiring runs and/or the ground points are at for that circuit? That would be most helpful.. thanks again.
