Default What Rear end should i put in my truck?

Most people on this forum already know what im doing lol. But im building a 360 mopar motor for a 2nd gen dodge. Planning to make big power down the road so what rear end should i go with? Im want a simple easy swap that i wont have to mess with much. Preferably another dodge rear end that would just bolt straight in with no problems. Ive wanted to swap the rear brakes to disc as well if there is a rear end that fits those two requirements. Simple Bolt up swap and disc brakes?

Nothing wrong with the stock 9 1/4, Might want to put a better limited slip in it.

local pick & pay salvage yard, car-part.com, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist for the complete rear end. I've heard that some folks have used the 3rd gen 9-1/4" rears in their 2nd gen truck for the factory rear disc brakes...

How much power are we talking about, the stock Chrysler 9.25 can handle quite a bit, but I would rebuild it and put a Detroit locker in it for ultimate strength.

End goal is 800 and for the people that know the build on this forum that may be a long stretch because its all motor at the moment gonna make unknown numbers but 800 is the goal

If you truly plan on 800 HP I would either go with a Ford 9" or find a Dana 70, or 80 out of a 3/4 ton 2nd gen to put in it.

A 70 or 80 would have had 3" springs. I don't know if the perches were also 3" wide but presumably. But that's an easy fix.

Are your plans to drag race this truck? If so, I'd suggest using a Dana 60 to save on weight over the Dana 70 and 80. The Dana 60 will hold up fine.

Ill look into the dana 60 70 and 80. I want to later do a front end swap and build the transfer case for 4wd launches but thats too much for right now
