99 Ram 2500 V10 Shifting issues
So My truck is lifted with 37in military MT's my issue is that I seem to almost always have to ride out first gear to redline. Like how you can usually like get up to 20-30 mph and let off. And your vehicle will go up to second gear to cruise. My truck don't do that. I have to ride first gear right out, and then slow down. Or I have to be pegged at high RPM watching my gas gauge drain lmao. Here's another example. Say I'm doing like 40. The truck will keep trying to shift up or down. Like it can't find a comfortable gear. Is this due to the big tired? The tranny doesn't slip or anything. Has pretty low miles. Any suggestions? Maybe there is something that can be adjusted that I don't know about

What gears in the axles? Last time the trans was serviced? (fluid/filter/band adjust)
When my was doing that kind of thing, it was a couple different problems. TPS was bad, as were the trans electronics. Changed the TPS to solve one problem, and got the governor pressure sensor/solenoid set, with an output speed sensor, and that solved a bunch more. Still exhibits odd behavior every now and again.... (holding a gear to long), but, haven't addressed the TV cable yet. That's the next step.

If you go under truck on drivers side, right after the bell housing you’ll see two rods on side of trans. The first one in front of you is the shift rod, the one behind is the tv cable rod, the spring will be attached to the lever then to a bracket towards front of trans…..basically where the trans pan starts on drivers side it’s right above
