98' ram 5.9 stalls when turning right ONLY!
my 1998 dodge ram 1500 5.9 4x4 will spit and sputter most of the time when doing a right turn but will stall out other time during the turn. it doesn't matter if the fuel tank is full or at half tank. I tried cranking the wheels in park n its fine. i did notice if i make a complete stop then proceed with the right turn at around 5mph it doesn't act up as often. if i completely stall out while in the turn the truck does start right back up just fine. i have no codes that appear (reader isnt the best or most expensive either). ive replaced numerous parts over the year ie fuel pump, o2 sensors, neutral saftey switch, cleaned the throttle body, new egr , all new wires, spark plugs , distro, new alt, battery, tranny flush with new filter, tranny sensors, new fuel canister.
Im lost in the sauce but not defeated... yet. im looking to replace the crank sensor and or the power steering pump next but after that im stumped. would appreciate any help or suggestions.

I wouldn't think it would be the crank sensor.... Powersteering pump? Maybe... or maybe the box itself... That one would be hard to test for though. (and if it was the pump, or the box, one would think it would be worse if you weren't moving..... higher load on both.)
Might wanna look at the wiring harnesses, and see if something isn't rubbing somewhere.
I think there was another thread on this topic, not so very long ago, might try and search that one up.
Welcome to DF! Moving this to second gen ram section for ya.

I too could have sworn there was a similar thread recently but couldn't find it.
I also find crank sensor, steering box or pump unlikely and agree it should definitely stall when stopped if the latter 2 were culprit(s)
I'd be looking for anything that contacts the steering shaft, drag link, steering arm, AND at motor mounts perhaps. If motor mounts are sloppy perhaps the engine shifts contacting a wire/harness
