I am needing a new brake backing plate (part# 5014129AB) for my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500. I can't seem to find one anywhere. Does anybody know where I can get one???

 

I think you're stuck with junkyards, appears to be discontinued.

This place in Canada seems to think they'll let you order, but I bet once you try it may not work out. They seem to want $160ish CAD plus another $66 to ship to CO, not cheap

A pick and pay style auto salvage yard would likely be the best place to find one, where you can pull the part off yourself, as that part will be hard to find new, since its discontinued.. Do you have any pick and pay auto salvage yards in your area?

 

Also if you can find the right side I'm 99% you can plug the hole for the cable and drill a second one at the other nub. I believe they're identical but for location of the parking brake cable hole.

Obviously, not worth it at top dollar but if you stumble upon a right side cheap, worth the gamble.
