What are you driving? What's a "pain"? What kind of noise?

2000 Dodge ram 1500 half ton and it was supposed to say transmission pan and it's like a hard to describe like a chicken but not grinding like I don't know it's coming it sounds like it it sounds like it was coming right from the pan I took my pan off and I have lots of metal shavings on the magnet

Metal shavings ain't good. Can you post a pic?

The noise you hear is the likely source of those metal shavings.... Probably a bearing or bushing has failed, and the trans is now eating itself up. It's only a matter of time before it fails completely.
