Default Wiring Question

First post…looking for some advice. I’m in the middle of a water pump replacement on a 97 Ram 1500 3.9L and I’ve discovered 2 wires that are broken off but I cannot find where they should be attached. One is coming straight off the negative battery terminal. The other is grouped with power going into the AC compressor. Any ideas?

Grab the service manual for your truck from here. Wiring diagrams are in section 8W. They also have pictures for connector locations and pinouts.

The broken wire from the negative terminal on the battery likely just goes to the body somewhere.

Welcome to DF!

Broken wire goes to a bolt on the power steering pump bracket. The connector looks like the one for the high pressure sensor in the AC line

Thanks to all for the replies. Both went to the bolt on the power steering bracket, was able to match up with the rings they broke off of. Everything is back together and the water pump is leak free .
