Not sure if I’ll find a duty cycle I’ll keep digging. I’ll link the video of the guy who did the conversion. I have found ALOT of people are using the Sanden SD7H15 compressor for on board air now that I’m down the rabbit hole.

That said there's probably also enough height under the hood you could remove the factory compressor and stand a York in it's place. It can be a little difficult to find serp clutches for the Yorks but it's kinda cleaner if it's driven off your serp.
I was going to mount York next to an alternator on Cummins, and it got really crowded! No room on the drivers side, but on the passenger side at least the airbox needs some attention.

I located 6 groove clutch for York years ago, and found the code from my emails. MEI 5030. I'm not 100% certain it fits, but they seem to be plenty all over the interwebs.

Here was my old school York install on an EFI 351 OBS Ford. Yorks are riddled with tapped holes all over so you have to work to find a way NOT to mount it

Anybody remember the things you could get from JC Whittney where you put in place of a spark plug and the engine will compress the air? You could make one with a strong enough check valve. Mount a skinny air tank to the frame somewhere and you will have air any time you need it.

Hhhmmm.... Not sure about the wisdom of putting a compressed, flammable mixture into things like tires.

yeah I second that. That’s like I used to hear about guys running propane in the place of R12 for their A/C. Just the thought of that scares me

Well the one in the video doesn't do that it gets the air from the outside.
I keep a small air compressor in the truck that's powered by the cigarette lighter or alligator clips on the battery.
Same here, Disabling the AC just to have a compressor is not an option.

Remove the wire going to the injector, No flammable mixture.

My A/C didn’t work to begin with, here in NC it stays pretty mild through the summer. I have 4 sixty air if the need arises. This is also my farm truck so when I need to air anything up I think it will come in handy. I’m still gathering parts but as soon as everything gets here I’ll post back with you guys

Napa use to sell them, and still might as I haven't looked in a long time. I've also been seeing more mentions of the sparkplug compressors in off-roading groups lately. Kind of funny to see them mentioned here.

Only the "old school" people know of these.
