First one is a Dana 80. LS designates limited slip. (trak lok)

Second one is a D70.

Were the older drum 80's true 80's across the board? Our '02 CTD is an 80 pig with D70 outers, wb hub, wheel seal, discs etc

If you're ever buying wheel seals from O'Reilly's site watch out because it'll list a wheel seal for the D80 but you need to know you're actually shopping for a D70 once you're at that point on the housing

I think the rears behind the 8.0, and diesels, with manual trans, were actual D80's. The D70's behind those engines with autos, might have been D80's with D70 outers. Dodge did some strange stuff...... and this is one of those instances.

First one: Theoretically, that was in 4.10 gears.

Second one: 3.55 with anti-spin diff. (supposedly.)

Look at the sticker under the hood, It will say what rear and ratio you have. Can also look up the BOM#.
