I have a 1995 dodge ram 1500 360 gas 4speed auto 2wd that I absolutely love, I've been wanting to convert to 4wd and have a parts truck at a junkyard nearby that I'll be pulling parts from, I come here today because I would like to know if a 2wd frame differs in any way from a 4wd frame

And if I had to guess, you'd go with bigger tires and some suspension lift? In any case, going with long arm suspension and coil over shocks would be the easy way. I wouldn't waste my time converting to stock suspension, as the stock suspension arms are really short and weak if you plan on doing any offroading. Long arm kits are basically bolt-on deal, much easier to install. Just measure the place for the bracket, drill a few holes and bolt the bracket to the frame. Versus cutting the stock bracket off the donor, then trying to figure out placement for that akwardly shaped part and welding it to the frame.
Same goes with the spring bucket/shock mount. Way esier to just cut off the 2wd suspension and cleaning the frame, then fab a hoop for the coil over shock.
There's a ton of fabrication, either upgrade or frame swap.
