Please be sure to take some time now and liberally soak the existing O2 sensors with PB Blaster where they thread into the exhaust pipe. This should help with removing them when the time comes.

I plan on both PB and Mouse Milk. Figure I will soak them down and let the sit for a little while. Is it possible to break them loose with a open end wrench or should I try and find that socket that is made for their removal?

An open end wrench will likely round the sensor. If you have clearance, you should be able to use a 7/8" box end wrench to remove them. If not, use an O2 socket and a breaker bar with a pipe, if you have enough room to use it. The more leverage, the better.

I wasn't sure a box end would get over the plug? Upstream sensor to me would mean before the cat. My plans are to start with the soaking process in the morning so by maybe by the afternoon I can give it a go. I'm pretty sure these have never been changed. I'm sure this will be a fun adventure. lol

Cut the plug off since you are replacing them anyway. If all else fails a big pipe wrench will work.

Hopefully that will be lat resort. Napa carries both Denso and NTK so I'm good there. I was just at NAPA again to double check and did notice the term Left and Right. This is starting to make me think there is two upstream and one downstream. I wont really know till I get into the job it's self. I did notice though a few places show them but they weren't available. It's crazy.

Most of the trucks don't have the left and right sensors unless it's a truck designed for California emissions. Typically, it's just one upstream and downstream sensor each, but it's worth crawling under the truck to take a look when you are taking time to soak those sensors with penetrant.

NAPA showing left and right but either way I wont be getting them till Tuesday. I will be crawling up underneath in the morning to make a final of what is or isn't there. I will know for sure by tomorrow. I can always call them to make any changes.

Cali the HD models and i believe the V10's had them. I wonder if they used a different plug for the drivers side?
